All Baldwin High School juniors seeking a diploma are required to take the SAT as part of the Michigan Merit Examination. The SAT measures college readiness in core academic subjects and is used for college admissions decisions. The SAT may be taken more than once and scores are accepted by all 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S.
Registration:
Students are automatically registered for the Michigan Merit Examination. If a student chooses to take the SAT on a different test date either before the MME or as a retake, they may register via the SAT website. Students may register through the College Access Center and it is recommended that you speak with Mr. Drilling in the College Access Center prior to registration.
Cost:
The Michigan Department of Education covers the cost of the Michigan Merit Examination SAT administration. Fee waivers may be available for national administration dates--see College Access Center for eligibility.
Location:
The Michigan Merit Examination is held at Baldwin High School. At this time the school does not host additional administrations of the SAT. West Shore Community College and Ferris State University both provide SAT testing services on national test dates.
